"Electronic control unit has a motherboard that is the same as was standard on most 2018 Acuras. This motherboard was incompletely sealed, which resulted in a corrosion problem that forced a recall on the TLX. This corrosion results in a short so that, as the technician told me, "the car does not know whether it is locked or unlocked." This EC unit also is associated with all of the other emergency and safety controls on the vehicle, which means that the dash is constantly lit up with warnings concerning ABS, lane change alerts, approaching object avoidance alerts, parking sensors, traction control, and the like. The worst part is that the alarm will go off multiple times, night or day. Ultimately, I removed the fuse on the horn simply so I would not be alarming the neighbors multiple times every night. The lights flash or sometimes simply come on by themselves when the car is locked and ignition is off, but at least it doesn't make a bunch of noise anymore. This is going to cost me 1400 bucks."

We just decided to use the middle USB port and cannot use the ones in the front. We are wary about putting much more money into a car that has received so much repair work, especially since no offer was made to us to replace the vehicle, even if we had to pay something toward a replacement."

"Due to a problem that occurred with a rod perforating the engine block, the 2018 Acura MDX Advance had an engine replacement. It was a recall, however our engine could not receive the fix because the parts were not available, and our car was damaged. We had to provide our own alternative transportation and were not reimbursed for 4 weeks in a rental When Honda decided that they would replace our engine, we received a loaner from the dealership. After the engine was replaced due to the recall, the manufacturer only provided a 10,000 mile warranty on the engine. We are right at the end of that now. We did not receive any consideration regarding resale, got no paperwork other than some when we picked the car up that is hard to understand. The 10,000 mile warranty was only given verbally. We are very disillusioned by the way we were treated by Honda Manufacturing, but seem to have no recourse if something goes wrong with this major repair in the reasonable future."
