For 2011, Audi brought a significantly improved car. Handling became crisp and grip from the AWD system helped make it one of the sportiest luxury sedans available. Expect a ride that's firm, yet supple. The strong engines deliver smooth and effortless acceleration while attaining commendable fuel economy. Interior ambiance, quality of materials and craftsmanship are top-notch, with exceptionally comfortable and supportive front seats. However, some controls are overly complicated and the trunk is small for a car this size.
Note: The Environmental Protection Agency says Volkswagen installed "defeat devices" in 3.0-liter V6 diesel engines offered through Audi, Porsche, and VW brands in order to cheat on emissions tests. (VW denies this.) Consequently,Consumer Reportsis suspending our recommendation of affected models with this diesel powertrain because there's a chance that the fuel economy, performance, and driving characteristics could change from any action to bring these models in line with emissions standards. For the latest information, see our guide to the Volkswagen emissions recall.
