    Audi TT Road Test
    Introduction

Derived from the humble Volkswagen Golf, the TT might not be a designed-from-scratch sports car, but it does have its strong points as a two-seat convertible. Handling is very nimble with impressive limits. The four-cylinder turbo engine and quick-shifting automated manual transmission return good power and a decent 25 mpg overall. Interior quality is impeccable, especially with our car's optional S-line package. The TT is also one of the few convertibles available with all-wheel-drive, a unique distinction for those who live where it snows. But the ride can be stiff and the fabric roof lets lots of noise in and blocks outward visibility.
