"The windshield wiper fluid container is leaking. After taking the car wheel and fender and trying 3 parts I still cant get it fixed. Need to take it to a repair shop. I did get one quote before trying this on my own and it was nearly 1000 to change a washer fluid tank. Seems pretty expensive for what should not be a very expensive part"

"The driver side door lock failed in the locked position while we were on vacation in North Carolina. We brought the car to a dealership to see if the lock could be bypassed and moved to the unlocked position. Nothing they tried worked so we had to cross over the front console to access and egress the driver's seat. Due to the design of the front door panels the door lock could not be accessed by removing the panel. The door had to be removed to resolve this problem once we returned home."

"There were multiple parts of the engine leaking oil at 63000 miles. According to BMW, the gaskets cannot be changed so they have to replace the whole parts. This included the valve covers, manifold, and other parts. The repair cost more thn $7000 where an American made car would have just needed the gaskets changed. I believe this is a poor design for the buyer but a real boost to the dealership repair shops. This seems to be a common problem with BMW's as most of the owners I spoke to have had the same issues with oil leaks."
