"The pure leather dashboard peels off and retracts from the edge close to the windshield on the passenger side. The manufacturers recommended solution is total replacement of the ENTIRE dashboard at the cost of several thousands of dollars. I learnt from upholstery experts that direct sunlight and summer-time heat dries the leather and creates this effect. A whole lot cheaper recommendation is frequent application of leather protection cream coupled with windshield visor during summer time. At the least, the manufacturer could have provided this guidance in the vehicle manualshame on BMW for such lack on consideration for customers of their high-end models."
