Buick's Enclave is a large, car-based SUV with a spacious third-row seat, sound ride quality, and decent handling. However, rear visibility, awkward placement of some controls, and unimpressive fuel economy are its weaknesses. A rear-view camera is standard for this version of the large Buick crossover SUV
In most cases, automotive warranties are based on the vehicle identification number (VIN), and the warranty will be valid regardless of ownership. The dealership can tell you exactly how much warranty is left.
Read more about extended warrantiesRedesigned for 2025, the Buick Enclave is again positioned as the upscale sibling to the Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia. This three-row SUV makes notable advances in technology, with a massive 30-inch dash-mounted screen, standard Bose audio system, and a robust suite of active safety features. Plus it is the first Buick with Super Cruise, GM's hands-free active driving assistance system, and it is fitted to all trim levels. The Enclave ditches the trusty 3.6-liter V6 for a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It is again offered in front- and all-wheel drive. The top Avenir trim comes with an adaptive suspension.
Redesigned for 2018, the Enclave provided improved fuel economy, more space, and a variety of safety and connectivity features. Power comes from a lively 3.6-liter V6 teamed with a smooth, responsive nine-speed automatic. We got 18 mpg overall in our tests. Towing capacity is 5,000 pounds. The roomy cabin is very quiet and the ride is comfortable, befitting a Buick flagship. The third-row seat is relatively roomy for the class. The infotainment system is easy to use, but the unintuitive gear selector is a nuisance in parking maneuvers. A manual sunshade for the sunroof and only a two-way lumbar adjustment for the seat are odd, given the price. The Enclave is freshened for 2022 with a number of exterior styling updates. Forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane keeping assistance, blind spot warning and rear cross traffic warning become standard. Highway-speed automatic emergency braking is available. Other changes include a new rear power sunshade for the available power moonroof, revised seat trim and seat foam, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
