What Owners Say

Stability control (ESC)

"The last half of 2023 I had problems with car slamming on brakes and shaking without me touching anything and nothing in front the car. Took car to dealer who kept the car for 10 days and then told me they could not find any problem. I picked up and before I had driven the car 1/2 mile warning lights came on and car began jerking so returned to dealer. who put scope on car and said car had a bad transmission sensor. Left vehicle and returned home with no vehicle. Dealer kept vehicle for ten weeks and stated they could not find sensor but finally found another dealer in far state who had one and shipped. Engine sensor came in and had been used and was faulty. They kept vehicle and finally Called GM, for solution and dealer kept vehicle several more weeks. Called me to pick up car. Less than 3 days car was doing same thing again. Put back in shop. Many more weeks in shop. This time they said they had solved mystery and they replaced body sensor sensor. Picked up car and within a few days same problem. Returned vehicle to dealer who finally found problem was with an aftermarket adapter for WiFi installed by phone dealer. This adapter worked fine and dealer found the problem by trial and error and the gave me a free oil change and reduced cost on one sensor. I had loved my Enclave and had no problems previously. I felt like my dealer had an garage full of parts exchangers and not technicians or mechanics. Incompetent staff and management cost me $5000. for their incompetence and many weeks without a vehicle."
