A broken door striker can cause the door to open unexpectedly, increasing the risk of injury.
Summary:
General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2025 Chevrolet Blazer, Blazer EV, and Equinox vehicles. The door strikers were not properly heat-treated, which can cause them to break.
What should you do:
Dealers will replace all four side door strikers and attachment bolts, free of charge. All affected vehicles are still in dealership inventory and therefore no owner notification letters are expected to be mailed. Owners may call Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM's number for this recall is N242477131.

""When the back seat behind the driver was lowered to carry cargo, a spring was ejected from it. The dealership fixed the issue on a Friday, but on Saturday the same issue occurred. When we returned to the dealership to have repaired a second time, we were told that a new seat would have to be ordered and when it arrived they would inform us so the replacement could be made. At this time, the replacement is due to be done on June 5, 2025. Hopefully this will corrected this issue.""
