    First Take
Despite offering a 325-hp version of the Corvette's 5.7-liter V8, the Camaro remains one of GM's slowest sellers. It's too bulky to be nimble, it rides uncomfortably. Muscle cars as a class can also be hideously expensive to insure, particularly if there's a young male driver in the family. Traction control is a worthwhile option, especially in the V8-powered Z28 model. This is to be the last year for the current-generation Camaro. A 2002 "35th Anniversary" model marks the car's passing.
