Engine Minor
Accessory belts and pulleys, engine computer, engine mounts, engine knock or ping, fuel leaks, oil leaks.
We expect the 2025 Corvette will have about average reliability when compared to the average new car. This prediction is based on data from 2022, 2023, and 2024 models and the Chevrolet brand score.
The Reliability score is based on our latest subscriber survey of 2016 Chevrolet Corvette owners. The owner comments describe problems respondents experienced with this vehicle.
Accessory belts and pulleys, engine computer, engine mounts, engine knock or ping, fuel leaks, oil leaks.
Gear selector and linkage, transmission computer, transmission sensor or solenoid, clutch adjustment, rough shifting, slipping transmission, leaks.
"It was noticeable at about 27000 miles. Most noticeable in automatic drive. I learned what the problem was from a friend that had the same issue. Many corvettes had this issue but no recall was put out. Hence it became a owner expense"

"Problem started years ago. Dealer kept telling me nothing was wrong w my car. I kept going back and finally they agreed we it was misfiring within the last year and I needed a major overhaul of engine. Problem was not resolved by dealer. Had another mechanic put a chip in car computer to keep it in 8 cylinders and its running fine"

"Had problems w this car from early on. Told me was transmission problems. Went back to dealer for that several times. They tell me new fluid and parts would fix it. Months down the road, engine is misfiring. Had a tune up several thousand miles too early. Did not fix. Went back and forth with dealer telling me nothing wrong w my car. Just recently was told I need over $ 5,000 worth of work done on engine. Needs almost a new engine. Computer problems from where it switches from 4 cylinder to 8 cylinders. Misfires and shudders when switching. Will cause major damage I was told if not repaired soon. I did not repair. Decided to have mechanic from another place put a chip in car to keep it in 8 cylinders all the time so it cannot switch and its running fine for now. Its paid for and I hate the new corvette style. Love this one so kept it. Will drive it til it blows up I guess. Haha could get a new engine for cheaper than Chevrolet fix. And Chevrolet wouldnt guarantee the problem would be solved if I spent the money on it."
