"The transmission developed a shudder when speeding up after slowing down. This is a well documented problem on several GM vehicles in addition to the Corvette. GM developed a repair memo as a workaround which involved triple flushing the transmission fluid and replacing with a different fluid. The workaround worked for me and no additional work (i.e. torque converter replacement) was required. The work was covered under warranty."

"Chevrolet identified a "shudder" problem with the transmission fluid shortly after I purchased the new car in 2019. When driving at a steady speed, one can feel a minute amount of hesitation in the transmission. The shudder continues until more speed or braking occurs. It's been occurring for a long time, but I only recently determined that it was the transmission that was the problem. Even though the shudder problem was known for the Corvette and some other CHEVROLET products, GM did nothing to inform the owners of the issue. The local dealer in Venice, Jenkins CHEVROLET knew of the problem and corrected it. The cost to me was $863 to flush the transmission and add a new type of fluid that would not collect moisture over time causing slipping. GM was obligated to tell me about this and should have replaced the fluid at no cost to me years ago when they first learned of it."
