In March of 2025, the check engine light went on again and my scanner told me the issue was with catalytic converter. I brought the equinox back to the shop where I got replacement in Jan 2024 and the part was still under warranty. Fingers crossed it's good now but I've read intermittent criticism linking issues with the exhaust system, the pcv valve, and the way the engine is known to "eat oil," and the 2.4cyl is still eating oil, so I'm not holding my breath.""

The open button HIDDEN in the back panel is extremely hard to get to (a safety issue) and the pistons supporting the hatch became rusty so we are replacing those."

No leaks found when checked with soapy water. This was first time pipe was replaced. Got pipe/gaskets from Rockauto $201.21"
