    "I thought the antifreeze/coolant leak evidence by a constant squeaking during idle was caused by a failing water pump. So I purchased a new one with associated hoses and did the job myself with the help of my brother. The pump might have been OK. The gasket where the pump seals to the block had failed. With a new pump coolant flow was improved so much so that the heater hoses clamps failed within a week. I suspect the GM Vortec 4300 V6 vibration contributes to my various leaks. It's good that parts are inexpensive and available."
