Transmission Major
Transmission rebuild or replacement, torque converter, premature clutch replacement.
What Owners Say
""Transmission replacement was required when the torque converter experienced internal delamination & disintegration, causing contamination of the transmission fluid and complete failure of the transmission. Fortunately when I bought the vehicle (used) I'd seen on Consumer Reports that transmission problems around 100K miles were an issue and insisted on a 5-year/50K mile warranty on the powertrain, so this $8000+ repair was 100% covered.""

"Bought car with 29000 miles in it. After driving 3000 miles dealership found shavings in the fluid and said it needed replaced. It was out of the time warranty, but within mileage warranty timeframe. Chevrolet would not cover any of the repair."
