    Road Test

The Tahoe is a large vehicle and you won't forget it while driving. The 2007 redesign brought improved fit and finish for the interior and better brake pedal feel, but didn't set any new standards among large SUVs. Handling is cumbersome, stopping distances are long and fuel economy, though improved, is poor. However, the highway ride is comfortable. The first two rows of seats are spacious, but the third row is too low for adults. Later years brought standard curtain airbags and a six-speed automatic transmission.
