    Slipping transmission

    "The transmission slips when you start moving from a dead stop. It started about two years ago in the winter, Chicago suburbs, when the transmission was cold. Once it warmed up it was okay. Over time it slipped a little more. It began slipping when the weather was warm but the transmission cold. Now it slips when starting from a stop even when it is warmed up. I was told it was a valve in the valve body that is now controlled electronically and it vibrates rapidly all the time. Overtime it wears out the walls around and this makes it slip. I was told there is no fix for it, it will get worse and eventually the transmission will have to be replaced."

    Summary:
    ON CERTAIN TRUCKS AND SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES, THE DRIVER WISHING TO SIGNAL A TURN BY MOVING THE DIRECTIONAL SIGNAL LEVER, (UP OR DOWN) MAY CAUSE THE FRONT MARKER/TURN LIGHTS AND REAR TURN LIGHTS TO FLASH IN A MANNER SIMILAR TO HAZARD WARNING, RATHER THAN FLASHING ON THE DESIRED SIDE ONLY.
    What should you do:
    DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE SUSPECT FLASHER MODULES WITH A NEW FLASHER MODULE DESIGNED WITH SEALED RELAYS AND MORE DURABLE CONTACT MATERIAL INSIDE OF THE RELAYS FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON AUGUST 4, 2005. ISUZU BEGAN MAILING OWNER LETTERS ON AUGUST 4, 2005.     Summary:
    ON CERTAIN SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES, VIBRATION AND HEAT MAY CAUSE THE TAIL LAMP/STOP LAMP BULB TO LOOSEN IN ITS SOCKET. IF THIS OCCURS, THE BULB MAY FLICKER AND EVENTUALLY BECOME INOPERATIVE.
