What Owners Say

Other steering/suspension problem

"The second issue was replacing toe links in the rear steering, which, if uncorrected could cause driver to lose control of the vehicle. This cost $573 to resolve, and was only picked up when I asked to have my alignment checked (I had a coupon). This cost $573 to resolve, and was only picked up when I asked to have my alignment checked (I had a coupon). GM finally sent me a check for $158 (for both problems), which was less than 20% of my total cost. Their reasoning for the low reimbursement was that the vehicle was out of warranty (the Traverse only had 33000 miles and was serviced by the dealer since purchase). A complaint was also submitted to NHTSA."

Anonymous, VA (2019 Chevrolet Traverse LT 3.6-L V6)
Steering linkage (includes rack and pinion)

"Was leaking fluid and it was repaired under insurance or warranty. Nit sure if I selected the correct area. Had something to do with steering but did not quit working before it was fixed. Mechanic found it during routine maintenance"

Anonymous, MI (2019 Chevrolet Traverse 3.6-L V6)

Transmission Major

Transmission rebuild or replacement, torque converter, premature clutch replacement.

/ 5

What Owners Say

Other major transmission & clutch problem

"When the vehicle was turned off, a message appeared on the dash info center "shift to park". However, the message would not turn off and the light indicator on the shifter would not turn off. I was advised that the continuing problem would run down the battery. This problem has been the subject of numerous lawsuits against GM in numerous states and information was available on a Traverse blog. There was even a GM Technical Bulletin issued regarding the issue. GM knew about the problem but never issued a formal recall. The shift to park issue has occurred in numerous GM vehicles. I submitted a formal complaint with GM, which took about 4-6 weeks to resolve. The problem cost $360. A complaint was also submitted to NHTSA."
