We expect the 2024 Traverse to have about average reliability when compared to other new cars. This prediction is based on the Chevrolet brand score and the previous generation of the Traverse.
The Reliability score is based on our latest subscriber survey of 2020 Chevrolet Traverse owners. The owner comments describe problems respondents experienced with this vehicle.

Gear selector and linkage, transmission computer, transmission sensor or solenoid, clutch adjustment, rough shifting, slipping transmission, leaks.
"Transmission would not auto stop and was slipping. Dealer drained fluid and flushed transmission and refilled."

"Bought it at 45000 miles. Had to have the torque converter replaced under power train warranty at 50000. The dealer told me it was becoming a common problem. The traverse wasn't stopping or accelerating properly. Especially when stopping it was more difficult to stop because the torque converter wasn't disengaging, so it was like power braking to a stop. Several times I had to put it in neutral because it felt like I wouldn't be able to stop in time otherwise. Felt clunky and sluggish...or it was the opposite and would race."
