    Owner Reported Trouble Spots

The Reliability score is based on our latest subscriber survey of 2021 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid owners. The owner comments describe problems respondents experienced with this vehicle.

    Climate System

AC compressor, blower (fan) motor, condenser, evaporator, heater system, automatic climate system, electrical failure, refrigerant leakage.

    What Owners Say

    A/C compressor

    "Coolant leak"

    Anonymous A., (2021 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Pinnacle 3.6-L V6 plug-in hybrid)
    Evaporator

"Fixed just prior to termination of factory warranty. Rear AC did not work but front was ok."

Anonymous, TX (2021 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Limited 3.6-L V6 plug-in hybrid)
    Refrigerant leaks

"every 4-6 months the car needs a recharge of the ac system."

    Anonymous, FL (2021 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Touring-L 3.6-L V6 plug-in hybrid)

    In-car Electronics

Infotainment system (audio, GPS, phone), rear entertainment system, backup or other camera/sensors, head-up display.

    What Owners Say

    Apple CarPlay

"Sometimes my iPhone connects wirelessly and sometimes I must use a cord. The ATT whole car hotspot works only sporadically."

    Anonymous, OR (2021 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Touring-L 3.6-L V6 plug-in hybrid)
    Display screen goes blank

"Every now and then the screen does not turn on when turning on the vehicle and it seems like the stuff is working in the background. For example if the radio is on it could still be heard. But it sometimes takes several times and ways to get it turned on."

Anonymous, BC (2021 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Hybrid 3.6-L V6 plug-in hybrid)
    In-dash navigation system (GPS)

"We have the Pacifica Hybrid limited, which has memory seats and profiles. We had 2 profiles. On the default profile, the navigation will start then freeze, then reboot and goes through this loop continually. But then it works on the second profile. I tried delete the first profile but I cant because, I guess, its the default profile. I had to create a third profile, but, because its shared with the first memory, it always asks if I want that profile. So far, the navigation works in this profile. But, even then, it sometimes doesnt load right and I have to cycle the ignition to get it back."

    Anonymous A., PA (2021 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Limited 3.6-L V6 plug-in hybrid)

    EV Battery

    What Owners Say

    Electric/hybrid battery pack replacement

"after driving a significant distance in stop and go traffic in central fl in july the car would not start for a hour."

    Anonymous, FL (2021 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Touring-L 3.6-L V6 plug-in hybrid)

    Drive System

Driveshaft or axle, CV joint, differential, transfer case, four-wheel-drive/all-wheel-drive components, driveline vibration, electrical failure, traction control, electronic stability control.

    What Owners Say

    Driveshaft or axle

"The axle nuts on both driver and passenger sides loosed causing a clunking noise when accellerating after decelleration."

Anonymous, IN (2021 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Hybrid 3.6-L V6 plug-in hybrid)

    Steering And Suspension

Shocks or struts, ball joints, tie rods, wheel bearings, alignment, steering linkage (includes rack and pinion), power steering (pumps and hoses, leaks), wheel balance, springs or torsion bars, bushings, electronic or air suspension.

    What Owners Say

    Other steering/suspension problem

"Both front an arms need to be replaced. Terrible drive I think the bearings in them failed. Started with a horrible screeching noise."

    Anonymous, CA (2021 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Touring-L 3.6-L V6 plug-in hybrid)

    Engine Electrical

Alternator, starter, hybrid battery replacement, hybrid battery related systems, regular battery, battery cables, engine harness, coil, ignition switch, electronic ignition, spark plugs and wires failure, auto stop/start.

    What Owners Say

    Spark plugs or wires failure

"The engine has a very rough idle through low RPM. The car will jerk at speeds under 35, when the engine runs. Not when it transitions from the battery, but it jerks now and then while the engine is running. The check engine light would go on and off. The car was in the shop 3 or 4 times. The last time it was in for over a week. The shop ended up replacing all the spark plugs. The check engine light has come on once since then, which was 9 months ago. The idle was much smoother but its slowly getting worse again."

    Anonymous A., PA (2021 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid Limited 3.6-L V6 plug-in hybrid)

    EV Charging

    What Owners Say

    Won't charge at home

""hybrid board" - would not charge from external voltage but did function in hybrid mode. Car was drivable as hybrid (and battery would charge from engine). Chrysler covered repair under hybrid power train warranty. Just shy of 3 months in shop waiting for part. Chrysler/dealer provided a loaner car after initial diagnosis (1-2 weeks w/o loaner)."

Reliability indicates how models have performed in the past, providing the basis for predicting how the vehicles will hold up in the year ahead. These charts provide the most comprehensive reliability information available to consumers. Based on information received from our latest subscriber survey for over 300,000 vehicles, our reliability history charts give you a rundown on how 2000 through 2024 vehicles are holding up in 20 potential trouble spots, ranging from the engine, transmission, electric motor, EV charging, and brakes to power equipment and the electrical accessories. NA indicates that we did not receive a large enough sample size to provide data for a specific year. An X indicates that the vehicle was not manufactured for a specific year.
