Finally the second Chrysler dealer said they knew exactly what was wrong - short in the wiring harness, seems they'd run into in more than once. Repaired it and resolved the issue."

Less money but a gasoline motor with an EGR cooler? 6 months later the OEM EGR cooler has failed again. It was burped properly and an air pocket was of the cause of the second failure."
