"Paint in bubbling up on the front edge of the hood and the bottom edge of the passenger sliding door. There is a large piece that has already flaked off the sliding door. Extremely poor quality paint job or metal prep work was done at the factory. No reason that the paint and primer should already be coming off the van at this young age."

Rough shifting

"Van has frequent rough shifts, especially during operation of the cruise control. The most noticeable time is when under cruise control and the van is going down hill. The transmission downshifts in order to try and reduce speed to maintain the set speed limit. Upon reaching the bottom of the hill, the cruise control starts to reapply gas and the transmission then shifts very hard from the lower gear back into a higher gear. I can alleviate the issue for a short while by doing a transmission computer "reset" that I found on YouTube and through forums that are specific to the Pacifica van line of vehicles. It only lasts a few weeks before the transmission computer relearns it's old habits of hard shifting and I need to do another reset."

"Van had a miss fire code. Went to dealer had number 5 spark plug and coil changed, a week later the same problem. Dealer tore down engine and found a bad head gasket which lead into a small groove cut into the engine block by the coolant leaking into the cylinder. Motor had to be replaced. We got rid of the vehicle!"
