    Chrysler PT Cruiser

    EPA MPG: 22 mpg

    Road Test

The PT Cruiser's interior versatility and ease of access make it a practical choice. With the midlevel turbocharged engine, our test vehicle achieved very competitive acceleration. However, its steering felt slow, and while handling was secure it was not agile. Some controls improved over previous versions, but restricted outward visibility, a wide turning circle, and limited rear cargo space remained problems. Side airbags became standard with this model. The turbo engine and convertible were dropped for 2010.
