    Road Test

This edition of the Sebring brings some improvements over the previous version, but it's still a big disappointment. The taller stance improves cabin access and the driving position, and its controls are straightforward. However, the 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine is noisy and unrefined. A 3.5-liter V6 is also available; it returned 20 mpg overall when we tested it in the similar Dodge Avenger. Ride and handling are mediocre, and the sedan feels ungainly at its limits. The interior is also poorly finished, with expansive hard plastic surfaces and large panel gaps.
