"Driving to work one night when it was pouring rain and went to turn off the car but the radio was still going?! A coworker came out and took the fuse out (which finally shut it off) but its never worked again since then despite several people trying to fix it. One possibility is the deep puddle I drive through and it was shorted out, but the radio/CD/clock system was the only thing affected if thats the case."

"Bought with check engine light on. Then light off but smelled fuel. Had hose above tank replaced check engine light back on, smelled fuel. Had pump and gasket replaced. Shortly check engine and gascap on odometer on. Pending repair at different garage. I think second repair missed compromised, cracked fuel tank"

CURT MFG IS RECALLING CERTAIN CLASS 3 RECEIVER HITCHES, P/N 13347, SOLD AS AFTERMARKET EQUIPMENT FOR USE ON 1997-2007 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY VANS, 1996-2007 DODGE CARAVANS, AND 1996-2004 PLYMOUTH VOYAGER VANS. WHEN THE HITCH IS LOADED TO THE MAXIMUM RATING, THE HITCH MAY FRACTURE OR BREAK AT THE BEND LOCATION WHERE THE MAIN BODY OF THE HITCH MEETS THE HITCH MUFFLER STRAP.
What should you do:
CURT MFG WILL NOTIFY OWNERS OF RECORD AND WILL REPLACE THE HITCH FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN DURING AUGUST 2010. OWNERS MAY CONTACT CURT MFG AT 1-715-831-8713.
