    What Owners Say

    Other body problem

    Engine Major

Engine rebuild or replacement, cylinder head, head gasket, turbocharger or supercharger, timing chain or belt.

    What Owners Say

    Cylinder head

"Check engine light code said misfire cylinder 2. The fix was a new plug and coil. Replaced all plugs and all coils and fill them gaskets. Code went away for 5 days and came back. Car continues to have check engine light. Seems to run fairly well gets decent gas mileage. Research seems to indicate the engine has a flaw in the heads reducing the flow of lubricant. We feel we're on borrowed time. Manufactory replacement part will probably have the same difficulty. Seems this problem has been around since 2010 in almost all the vehicles with the 3.6 engine. It happens after a hundred thousand miles and is auto warranty so it seems Chrysler could give a damn. I will never own another one. I understand that there are many many others with the same situation. I've been told that the misfire cylinder 2 is not the real problem and that there is no code for what the real problem is. I've been told to replace the heads. I've been told to replace the engine. It's not like I could put a CHEVROLET engine in this thing. Seems like there's no hope for this situation. I would be happy for any suggestions you might have. My email address is all lowercase writefcwood@hotmail.com This started 3 months ago. It was approximately 4,000 miles ago. The problem has not been resolved. There is no knocking. There seems to be no damage to the valves or top of the Piston when viewed with a camera. There's beginning to be vibration noticeable. At this point I guess I have to just wait till it gets bad enough to get involved in repairing it. I'd like to just get rid of the vehicle. This belongs to a school teacher in Florida who makes very little money and is the sole support of her family, my daughter."

    Anonymous A., CT (2019 Dodge Grand Caravan 3.6-L V6)

"Engine started sputtering and turns out there were firing issues. Took in and cylinders were screwed. replaced 2 and 2 more may need to be replaced"

Anonymous, ON (2019 Dodge Grand Caravan SE 3.6-L V6)
    Other major engine problem

"Grand Caravan is notorious for oil cooler failure. the unit is mounted on top of the engine block and radiator fluid is piped in to heat the oil when it fir starts up but then cool the oil when running. There is a plastic case that is part of the oil cooler assembly and the case cracked spraying oil out. The cost to repair was 1400 with only 60k on the engine. Not impressed as they would not even use an after market product that was all metal, instead they put the same original unit on."

Anonymous, ON (2019 Dodge Grand Caravan SE 3.6-L V6)

    Noises And Leaks

Squeaks, rattles, wind noises, seals and/or weather stripping, air and water leaks.

"There is a rattle in the back somewhere that we can't pinpoint."

    Transmission Major

Transmission rebuild or replacement, torque converter, premature clutch replacement.

    What Owners Say

    Loose interior trim or moldings

"My daughter has owned a 2017 and a 2019 Grand caravan. The trim on the outer edge of the seat is held on with a small piece of plastic that breaks and the entire section dangles down. It has happened with both vehicles. It needs to be secured better to the actual seat."

Anonymous, LA (2019 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT 3.6-L V6)

    Engine Minor

Accessory belts and pulleys, engine computer, engine mounts, engine knock or ping, fuel leaks, oil leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Engine computer

"My 2019 Dodge Caravan check engine light comes on. When I put a fix Finder computer on it to check for a code, it comes up with P0304. This is a cylinder fire misfire detected saying that cylinder four has too many misfires within a predetermined period of time. I replaced all the spark plugs and coils. It does not solve the issue. The mechanics that Ive talked to want to take my vehicle and look at the computer. It will be costly and time-consuming. They also indicated that they may not be able to solve the problem and have to replace the computer. I dont want to give up my vehicle for that period of time. The issue is not resolved."
