    Dodge Ram 2500

    EPA MPG: NA

    Road Test

This version of the Ram 2500 was the least desirable choice among heavy-duty trucks when it was new. Its ride is harsh and the transmission bumps into gears. The Cummins inline-six-cylinder turbodiesel has less horsepower and isn't as fuel efficient as its turbodiesel V8 heavy-duty rivals, though its generous payload capacity is commendable. While highly capable at towing, its maximum trailer rating is less than its crew cab rivals. Handling is extremely clumsy, though not unsafe. The top-level Laramie trim brings a well-furnished cabin and the crew cab has a spacious rear seat.
