What Owners Say
"depending on the weather it would prevent me from driving it. no extremes"
Anonymous, NJ (2010 Ford Escape 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"The blower motor stopped operating during the cold winter time. No fan = no heat. A blown fuse caused by a bad relay. Once I figured it out what the problem was, the parts cost about $35 for me to fix it. It probably could have cost me at least $100+ at an honest repair shop. Probably $1000+ at a dishonest one. Thanks to some honest people making U-tube videos I was able to figure out the problem and fix it by myself."
Anonymous, OR (2010 Ford Escape 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"The AC quit being cold. Attempts at recharging it worked for a limited amount of time but it would always stop cooling again. I finally had to take it to a shop to be diagnosed and then have the condenser replaced."
Anonymous, IN (2010 Ford Escape XLT 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"Evaporator coil rusted out and needed to be replaced"
Anonymous A., MA (2010 Ford Escape XLS 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"too cold to drive in freezing temp"
Anonymous, NJ (2010 Ford Escape 2.5-L 4 Cyl)"The fan motor stopped running. No fan=no heat unless you're driving fast. It was winter time, no heat means don't drive the car. No defrost either. Can't see with fogged up windows. Thanks to good honest u-tube videos I was able to learn more about the car and fix it. It turned out to be a bad relay, causing the fuses to blow out. Parts cost about $30. If I had taken it to a repair shop it would have cost somewhere between $100 to $1000+ depending on if they were an honest shop or not. I got burned too many times so I learned how to fix my own vehicles for most things."

"A/c worked perfectly one day then suddenly quit. System was full of a/c refrigerons. Tried replacing a sensor. Compressor clutch is making a lot of noice. Cost to get fixed at a proper service centre is ridiculous for a simple $375,00 compressor. These units if better quality should last forever. Its a shame in what vehicle manufacturers build in as incidentals that cost consumers a bundle of unaffordable $$$"
