What Owners Say
"The transmission failed completely and suddenly while driving on the highway at 64,000 miles. There were no indicator lights that suggested a problem. I had it towed to the dealer I purchased it from. Towing and repair was over $10,000. I thought Ford might give partial warranty coverage since it was only 4000 miles out of warranty but they refused. This surprised me and the GM at the dealership especially since the car had a complete engine replacement under warranty at 40,000 miles. The dealership said there is a possibility that the transmission failure could have been related to the engine failure."

I immediately brought the car to a Ford dealership and they ran diagnostics. As a result, the transmission was replaced. It was a new transmission. The problem is now resolved."
