    Introduction
    The Expedition is well composed for its heft. The steering feels responsive, and emergency handling is secure. But its ride is firm and a bit jiggly minus cargo. Front- and second-row seats are roomy but not very comfortable. The third-row seat is supposed to hold three, but its better left for children. And accessing it is harder than for the Chevy Tahoe or Dodge Durango. We also found its hefty proportions make parking and visibility a problem. The 5.4-liter V8 outperforms the 4.6 with little difference in fuel economy.
