Anonymous, TX (2018 Ford Expedition Platinum 3.5-L V6 turbo)"Started hearing an engine rattle about a year ago. Got worse and reported it to Ford dealer. They said they had already done a software update on my car to help with this issue as part of a service bulleting and that the noise wouldn't hurt. It got worse. Did some research and found it was a common problem on 2018's and the next 2 years. I had missed a recall period on the issue from Ford. I asked the dealer to fix it and ask Ford to help with the cost. Ford paid about $1400 on a $3000 bill. Car is fine now."

"Problem occurred around the 75,000 odometer reading. Ford knows it has a problem with the 10 speed automatic transmission. Ford and their Dealership is choosing to ignore their problem. On 2017 models Ford was sued and settled. We have owned a Ford product for over 30 years. We will not buy another Ford product."
