"The check engine light came on last October and the dealer told us that the catalytic converter needed to be replaced. This was after having to replace the other one two years ago. The dealer quoted $2K to replace it. We took the SUV to a custom muffler shop and they replaced it for $1K. We have spent $4K on exhaust issues over the past 4 yrs. (Air sensor was replaced in 2020)"
