What Owners Say
"It did not cool so the compressor needed to be replaced."
Anonymous, NY (2007 Ford F-150 XL 4.2-L V6)"The a/c in the truck is a joke. The compressor doesn't come on because there is a short somewhere in the electrical system that shorts out a fuse. They fix it and before my husband can get his truck home it has shorted out again. We have been trying to get this fixed for over 3 years to no avail. They can't find it. It sends out all kinds of messages, they fix that, but once we get it home, it breaks and he has no a/c. We think it's in the dash but they tell us no. The compressor doesn't work for cold air. They fixed the coolant leak, but again, something shorts out elsewhere and we get all kinds of lights going off in the vehicle. As with the Jeep, we've spent over $7000 in the last 12 months trying to fix this vehicle only to have it still not work. Very frustrating. I was against buying a Ford in the first place "Fix Or Repair Daily" "Found on Road Dead", pretty much describe Fords to me. I've previously owned a Ford and the way the dealership service department treated me, then the way Ford Motor Company treated me, being a woman with a bad issue in a car, was enough to never own another Ford. My husband could not be persuaded. Now he is. We will definitely NEVER own another Ford!"
