    Exhaust leaks

"The ford exhaust manifold only uses six of the eight bolt holes to mount the manifold. I have purchased an aftermarket set of manifolds from BD Diesel that has larger ports and uses all eight bolt holes. The ford manifold warps slightly due to insufficient bolts."

    Anonymous, BC (2015 Ford F-150 Lariat 3.5-L V6 turbo)
    Exhaust manifold

"The exhaust manifold can not handle the heat that the turbo puts out and it causes the manifold to warp and studs to also break"

    Anonymous, UT (2015 Ford F-150 XLT 3.5-L V6 turbo)

    "Starter"

    Other/unsure

    "Water pump"

Anonymous, AZ (2015 Ford F-150 Unsure)

"The panoramic moon roof experienced a major leak and would not close properly. The problem was a broken part related to the tracks for opening and closing the roof. Ford has a technical service bulletin for the problem but, because it did not involve a safety issue, did not issue a recall. Fortunately, this occurred just before the extended warranty we purchased expired so that we only had to pay a smaller co-pay for the repair."

    Anonymous, CA (2015 Ford F-150 Platinum 3.5-L V6 turbo)

    Anonymous, VA (2015 Ford F-150 XLT 2.7-L V6 turbo)

"Small crack in oil pan. Unfortunately to replace this we went into te twilight zone. The part itself was only $80. But labor was $720.!!!!!!!! Checked with several shops an dealers all said that it was hard to replace and I had gotten a deal. Surprisingly the part it self is now made of a tough plastic not metal."

    Anonymous, IN (2015 Ford F-150 XL 3.5-L V6)

"The front engine cover leaked oil & had to be addressed"

    Anonymous, MI (2015 Ford F-150 Platinum 3.5-L V6 turbo)

    Anonymous A., FL (2015 Ford F-150 King Ranch 3.5-L V6 turbo)
    Slipping transmission

"Vehicle experienced transmission shudder under load, e.g. climbing hills grades. After first repair, problem reoccurred after 1,100-1200 miles. Repair repeated under warranty in a different city @ 2,000 miles of a 5,000 mile planned road trip."

    Anonymous A., PA (2015 Ford F-150 XLT 5.0-L V8)
    Transmission sensor or solenoid

"Ford was no help in solving this problem. It would just sputter and die. Finally had to have it towed to a reputable shop (because the two local Ford dealers were backed up with transmission issues). When the problem first started occurring, Ford could not diagnose so I purchased a code reader on my own. When the problem next occurred, I had two different codes. I had the truck towed into a shop, who then hooked it up to their fancy reader and confirmed it was the transmission crankshaft sensor. This all occured not long after my 8 year extended warranty expired, which was a worthless warranty by the way as they would not fix the leaks and rattles. I also have a leak from I am guessing the front window that leaks into the front driver floor board and a third upper brake light that never sealed correctly from day one. Ford would not fix either."

    Anonymous, AR (2015 Ford F-150 XLT 2.7-L V6 turbo)

    "Throttle body"

    Anonymous, (2015 Ford F-150 Lariat 3.5-L V6 turbo)
    Turbo or supercharger

"Started with smoke and sluggish engine response. Misdiagnosed by a ford dealership as engine sludge. Again misdiagnosed by another local mechanic shop. Finally fixed by a local mechanic with extensive experience with Fords. The ecoboost is a difficult engine to work on, apparently even for a ford dealership. I will not buy another Ford product"

    Anonymous A., AL (2015 Ford F-150 XLT 3.5-L V6 turbo)

"Drivers side turbo started to leak antifreeze and some oil. Started leaking slowly, was 4.5 hr repair at $190 per hour plus parts $200+. Engine now runs like new."

    What Owners Say

    Air or water leaks

"Upper third brake light leaked from early on. I would always have this moldy smell and I thought maybe my cat had sprayed while in its box on way to vet. No, it was a seal around the brake light. Ford refused to warranty it claiming it was a wear item. Hmmm, I had had the problem under warranty, had reported it, but they could not identify, then I had to pay for them to do a specific test to identify the seal was bad. I could replace it at my cost, minus what they charged me for the test. A ripoff. Plus, the sliding glass rear window just fell loose. Ford would not repair, saying it was not a warrantied item. When I located a glass shop that would repair it, they informed me it is a known problem at Ford, but they refuse to issue a recall. He said there was a service bulletin, but this did not help me."
