The Reliability score is based on our latest subscriber survey of 2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid owners. The owner comments describe problems respondents experienced with this vehicle.

    In-car Electronics

Infotainment system (audio, GPS, phone), rear entertainment system, backup or other camera/sensors, head-up display.

    What Owners Say

    Android Auto

"I listen to E-audio book recordings while driving out of town [anytime over 15 min drive] that connection can't be made via bluetooth or USB cable so I listen via ONTZ Bluetooth audio speaker"

Anonymous A., CA (2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid XLT 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
    Apple CarPlay

"Does not link consistently. I have to turn the car off a couple of times occasionally"

Anonymous, HI (2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid XL 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
    Over-the-air software update failed

"I did try a software update but have no idea of it did anything . Have a glove box full of 12 Ford recalls - but have never taken back to Ford as long as it runs and drives fine -and it does"

Anonymous A., CA (2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid XLT 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
    Radio

"Periodic instances especially after washing the vehicle where the radio makes a very loud pop sound."

Anonymous, AZ (2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid Lariat 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

""Right from after purchase, every now and again, the radio WILL NOT come on..., it just goes dead. I can't figure out if it's related to plugging in the iPhone and the CarPlay kicks it out or what but when it occurs, I've tried everything from shutting off the radio, switching "SOURCE" to shutting off the vehicle, opening the door to ensure it's shutting off the power. Sometimes I have to just go on about my way and when I come back to the vehicle, turn the ignition on, and "Viola", it comes on. What I have been doing for a long time now, is when I arrive at my destinations, I just don't shut the radio off so when I hop back in, turn the ignition on, the radio comes on THEN I plug my iPhone in and the radio stays on. It's a conundrum!!!""

Anonymous A., ON (2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid XLT 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

Anonymous, CA (2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid Lariat 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"Truck keep throwing codes saying battery was low and it was shutting down. Precious owner had battery replaced under warranty as did I. Finally my tech determined it was a software error. Maverick forums have many comments about this issue."

Anonymous, NC (2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid XLT 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

""After two incidents of needing a jump start for dead battery symptoms, I got a dashboard warning that the truck was unsafe to drive. I had AAA tow the vehicle to the nearest Ford dealer, and a week later was told the 12V battery had supposedly shorted internally.""
