"The truck suddenly locks its doors by itself. Your keys and phone can be inside the truck and the door suddenly locks you out."

Anonymous, FL (2024 Ford Maverick Hybrid XLT 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"Last winter i started the vehicle to let it warm up while i scraped the windows and it locked me out. I have and app on my phone that lets me control certain things on the vehicle but of course the satellite was down. I called the dealership and they told me there was nothing they could do. So I was just stuck there with my keys locked inside and the vehicle running. Needless to say I was not happy! Now multiple times per week the drivers door will lock without me locking it. Very frustrating!"

Anonymous A., UT (2024 Ford Maverick Hybrid XLT 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"I have to be on driver side to unlock vehicle, even though I would like to unlock passenger side for entry into vehicle."

Anonymous, MO (2024 Ford Maverick Hybrid Lariat 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
    Other electrical system problem

    "120 volt service stopped"

Anonymous, (2024 Ford Maverick Hybrid XLT 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"Got low battery warning. Drove vehicle and low charge would not go away. Dealer had to disconnect battery, charge the battery and then reconnect the positive terminal to raise the voltage on the battery. With low battery, when sitting it would turn off door locks, phone app monitoring, remote charging and etc. After their charging fix, so far it work. There is supposed to be a program fix coming out. Haven't heard anything yet."

Previously, we had a 2018 Ford Edge and the safety features of the Edge are substantially better than those found on the Maverick. Also, interior lights don't seem to be working properly and the tonneau cover that came with the vehicle leaks around the edges (very cheap)..""

    "Dead starting battery"

Anonymous, GA (2024 Ford Maverick Hybrid XLT 2.5-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

    Display screen goes blank

"It's usually when i start the vehicle. sometimes it takes a long time for the screen to light up. This is especially annoying when I need to back up. The display does not always show what the back up camera is seeing. It's just a blank screen."

The screen will just keep repeating "can't connect to Shaun's A13" and a lot of times when I want to look up a contact I will just get the death spin! Ford definitely needs to get this figured out."

    What Owners Say

    Other climate system problem

"We received the car in Feb. It does not warm the cabin enough even thou I set it upto 80F. The cabin is luke warm during all winter. Also during this hot summer, I air out the car with open windows once. Once the engine kicks in we turn the A/C to 67. In rare occasions I can put it to 60f and the cabin is still muggy. Never sent it back to the dealership because the will charge for diagonistic which is relatively high and will have to pay on the spot if its not covered by a recall. I dont know if this is normal for hybrid vehicles. This is our first."
