"The onboard computer reset to the factory settings twice in the past two years while the car was being driven. Everything reset, seating position, radio, clock, mirrors, everything. It was very disconcerting to say the least. So far no explanation from Genesis"

Fuel injection system

"Had to take the car in about 4 or 5 times over a stretch of 5 months, probably had in the shop for a total of 3 months. Genesis was unable to diagnose the problem. Wed bring it in they would keep it for weeks say it was fixed and then wed bring it home and the engine light would come on again. The dealership we bought it from was terrible, they wouldnt return calls. Ended up trying a different dealership in town and they finally fixed it. Didnt want to drive the car when the engine light was on, though it was drivable."

"Original defective fuel pump caused a delay in acceleration after idling. Genesis recall replaced old fuel pump and solved the problem."

"The car began to make a whistling noise when I reached 50mph. I was told it was a rear differential problem and it has been recurring. It has been replaced three times and it seems to have fixed the problem. The noise did not affect operation of the vehicle, but it was in the shop three different times and I needed to get a loaner. It is under warranty so no cost."

"From when the car was a year old, it started having transmission problems. We sent it to the dealer almost a dozen times in the first 2 years. They worked on the transmission at least 4 times. We ended up Suing Hyundai to get it fixed and get compensation."
