    Voice control commands

"With Nav update voice commands ceased working for everything but Nav. As we were leaving very soon after the update thought would get it fixed in the US. We were told but the local US Genesis dealer that the voice activation in Canada and the US were different and that they could not fix the problem. Am getting it fixe in Canada 6 moths after the problem occurred. FYI, I am in the process purchasing a new car, not a Genesis."

    Noises And Leaks

Squeaks, rattles, wind noises, seals and/or weather stripping, air and water leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Air or water leaks

"Sunroof drain became clogged causing water damage to the interior on rear seat driver side and cargo compartment. Happened during ten days of very raining weather in late Dec 2023 when I was in the hospital. Took to Genesis dealer on 1/8/24 and was told sunroof drains clogged and was not a maintenance item and Geneses would not cover damage under the 5 year all inclusive body fit and finish warranty. Opened claim with Geneses National in CA and was told same thing. Submitted to USAA they covered damage minus deductible by 1/15/24. Car left a Geneses of Clearwater Fl. Interior trim pieces were on order by 1/20/24. Today is 4/27/24 and all parts are still not available. I was told by the Geneses rep at dealers they had three other GV80 cases they were working on with same extended results and no warranty coverage. I will pickup the GV80 on May 1st as is and will sell it immediately as I have replaced it. Since Geneses does not honor obvious car manufacturing defects in their body warranty and there is no information in the users manual concerning sunroof drains and maintenance. I will NEVER buy another Geneses."
