    Other/unsure

"Thermostat. I noticed the fan(s) continued to run at high speed when stopped. Gauges were off."

Anonymous, TX (2017 GMC Acadia Denali 3.6-L V6)

"Very, very poor forward visibility for the driver. Blocked by both window frames & the outside front mirrors. The problem is big enough to hide/block the driver's view of 2 close-in adults in a crosswalk, etc. The throttle pedal is much too light and you can easily overdo acceleration. The steering is too light and tight. A slight, unintended movement can cause somewhat disturbing directional change."

    Climate System

AC compressor, blower (fan) motor, condenser, evaporator, heater system, automatic climate system, electrical failure, refrigerant leakage.

    What Owners Say

    Evaporator

"September of 2023 AC stopped blowing cold, dealer couldnt find leak so they added dye to refrigerant. December of 2023 extended warranty ended. March of 2024 AC stopped blowing cold. Dealer found that the rear evaporator (located on rear right side of vehicle) was the cause of the leak. Dealer wanted $2900 to repair as the warranty company declined to pay as the extended warranty had ended in December of 2023. I explained that the dealer should have diagnosed this properly in September of 2023 but service writer declined to accept my reasoning. I wasnt going to pay for the repair so I composed a letter to the owner of the dealership explaining the situation. A week later (while my car was still at the dealer) the General Manager called to tell me that the dealer and GM would pay for the repair, my cost was $250. I accepted their offer. My vehicle was retrurned to me a week later 2 1/2 weeks after I took it in."

Anonymous, CA (2017 GMC Acadia Denali 3.6-L V6)

"Evaporator leaks freon costly 2800 dollars to be repaired should be covered by warranty"

Reliability indicates how models have performed in the past, providing the basis for predicting how the vehicles will hold up in the year ahead. These charts provide the most comprehensive reliability information available to consumers. Based on information received from our latest subscriber survey for over 300,000 vehicles, our reliability history charts give you a rundown on how 2000 through 2024 vehicles are holding up in 20 potential trouble spots, ranging from the engine, transmission, electric motor, EV charging, and brakes to power equipment and the electrical accessories. NA indicates that we did not receive a large enough sample size to provide data for a specific year. An X indicates that the vehicle was not manufactured for a specific year.
