"Car was getting louder, then a check engine light came on. Shop said code was exhaust issue and would need to work on it for a full diagnostic to determine the issue. At first thought it needed catalytic converter based on the code buy found it was a cracked manifold"

"It has been a problem for 5+ years. Intermittently the camera does not function. Took it to a GMC dealer and they diagnosed it to be a cold soldering joint issue with the camera. Cost to repair was over $500 so I chose to not fix it for now."

"Infotainment system started periodically shutting down then coming back up, until it completely shut down, which totally disabled the backup camera, which I felt was a safety issue, the radio, and the cd player, in other words nothing worked. This on and off situation started early 2023, and continued throughout the year, till it went completely dead. At that time it was replaced. It was due to no fault of mine, but it cost me $2,000 to replace it."

"When the screen goes blank, there is no navigation, back up camera, music, bluetooth... nothing. sometime turning the car off and back on fixes it, other times it does not."

"I purchased the Terrain used in 2021 no issues or noises. Had it Rust Checked and immediately following I noted a clunking noise in the rear end under the vehicle, particularly when turning. Mechanic wasn't able to locate source and since this is a second vehicle I didn't pursue to resolve , the noise has reduced but still there .... annoying !!!"

"I had this vehicle Rust Checked immediately after purchasing used in 2021 and Rust Checked again in 2023. This past winter I noticed the paint pealing in large strips around the top outer edge of both front wheel wells with rust showing underneath the paint. I intend to pursue the issue with the Service Center that did the work. Stay tuned !!!!"

"Cylinder 1, PCV valve leaked into the exhaust and overheats my Catalytic converter. Uses oil at a rate of 1 quart per 800 miles. There is a class action lawsuit pending for 2012-2017 GMC Terrains and CHEVROLET Equinox."
