    Introduction
    This extended-length version of the Yukon is a sibling of the Chevrolet Suburban. It can tow a heavy trailer and swallow more cargo than most minivans, with room for up to nine occupants. The cabin is quiet, but the low third-row seat is uncomfortable. Handling is cumbersome, and the steering is vague. The 5.3-liter V8 is adequate and returned 14 mpg overall. Four-wheel-drive models have a selectable full-time system that can remain engaged at all times. A redesign with a more efficient powertrain, and more new safety features, is due in early 2014.
