    Reliability

    Overall Reliability

The 2022 Accord Hybrid is much more reliable than other cars from the same model year.

    Common Trouble Spot

    Owner Reported Trouble Spots

The Reliability score is based on our latest subscriber survey of 2022 Honda Accord Hybrid owners. The owner comments describe problems respondents experienced with this vehicle.

    In-car Electronics

Infotainment system (audio, GPS, phone), rear entertainment system, backup or other camera/sensors, head-up display.

    What Owners Say

    Display screen freezes up

"The display randomly freezes and forces me to reset the radio or wait until it begins responding again (sometimes many minutes later). It has not been resolved and results in major frustration."

Anonymous, TX (2022 Honda Accord Hybrid EX-L 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

""The display screen experiences ghost touches, where the screen randomly beeps an switches to another screen randomly, and constantly. This is a common complaint with the 10th generation Accord, Honda has done absolutely nothing about it. They know they put a garbage system in a $32000 car. The Bluetooth connection is also spotty, connects when it feels like it. Really frustrating for an otherwise good car.""

Anonymous, CA (2022 Honda Accord Hybrid EX-L 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
External music device interface (e.g., smart phone, MP3 player)

"The Bluetooth connection does not consistently reconnect to the phone when getting back into the car. You have to turn off the stereo and the phone and try again. Piece of junk!"

Anonymous, CA (2022 Honda Accord Hybrid EX-L 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
    Other in-car electronics problem

""The infotainment system frequently freezes, registers "ghost" touches and screen flicks when nobody is touching it, and sometimes completely dies and resets. This has been a problem for the system for a couple of years and has not been resolved, even though part of the system was replaced. This results in the system randomly changing audio settings, resetting items, and when using Apple CarPlay, navigation stopping via Waze and other random phone items being selected by the "ghost" touches and flicks. Additionally, this also means that I cannot access some of the car features and functions due to everything being tied into the infotainment system. Currently, the parts to replace the infotainment system are on backorder. I have reset the system multiple times, but it does not help. This is extremely frustrating and almost a deal-breaker for me that makes me want to consider another car, even though I've been a Honda fan for many years.""

    Noises/Leaks

Squeaks, rattles, wind noises, seals and/or weather stripping, air and water leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Air or water leaks

"Rear windshield had a bad seal which leaked water into trunk during heavy rains. Problem noticed after warranty expired and not noticed until staining of headliner on passenger side. Repairs included replacement of rear glass as well as entire headliner."

Anonymous, TX (2022 Honda Accord Hybrid EX-L 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
    Other noises & leaks problem

"The rear brakes squeak loudly when backing out of the driveway, especially on cold mornings. I brought the car to my local Honda dealer to have them checked. They told me the brakes were fine and for some reason this model has that noise at times. We've learned to live with it. It has been much quieter in warm weather."

Anonymous, CA (2022 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
    Seals and/or weather-stripping

"Seal related to previous problem with back windshield glass."

Anonymous, TX (2022 Honda Accord Hybrid EX-L 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

    Brakes

Premature pad/rotor wear, pulsation or vibration, antilock system, parking brake, master cylinder, calipers, squeaking, brake failure, regenerative braking.

    What Owners Say

    Squeaking

""When the car sits and is cold, backing up is the squeaking noise. Just annoying. Doesn't seem to affect. the braking ability""

Anonymous, OH (2022 Honda Accord Hybrid Sport 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

    Exhaust

Muffler, pipes, catalytic converter, exhaust manifold, heat shields, leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Other/unsure

"Audio system caused the apps on my screen to change. Just happened last weekend and will be fixed tomorrow when the part comes in. Somehow the app switching actually turned off the audio (turning off the radio didn't help as it switched on by itself) so the problem is temporarily ended. Have the extended warranty for electronics."

Anonymous, RI (2022 Honda Accord Hybrid Sport 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
