Owner Reported Trouble Spots

The Reliability score is based on our latest subscriber survey of 2007 Honda Accord owners. The owner comments describe problems respondents experienced with this vehicle.

Climate System

AC compressor, blower (fan) motor, condenser, evaporator, heater system, automatic climate system, electrical failure, refrigerant leakage.

/ 5

What Owners Say

A/C compressor

"Stopped operating completely. Replaced."

Anonymous A., CA (2007 Honda Accord LX 2.4-L 4 Cyl)

"Last summer, the AC began blowing hot air. I took it to an independent repair shop and they replaced the AC Compressor. It has blown cold air since the replacement."

Anonymous, GA (2007 Honda Accord EX 3.0-L V6)

"Just stopped working at 200k miles it was time to replace it"

Anonymous A., TX (2007 Honda Accord EX 3.0-L V6)
Other climate system problem

"Heat flap does not close when air conditioning comes on, leading to hot engine air coming in and overwhelming the AC. Fiddling with the temperature button helps to close the flap and regular air comes in."

Anonymous, OR (2007 Honda Accord LX 3.0-L V6)

"Air conditioner temperature control does not work. I Can only get cool air if the control is set all the way to Lo"

Anonymous, VA (2007 Honda Accord EX 2.4-L 4 Cyl)

"AC blower stopped blowing cold air June 2024, was sold as is to a relative."

Anonymous, WI (2007 Honda Accord 2.4-L 4 Cyl)

"It started failing to refrigerate 17 years after purchase. I took the Homda to the garage immediately since we were having a hot summer. It was lacking refrigerant gas."

Anonymous, PA (2007 Honda Accord 2.4-L 4 Cyl)
Refrigerant leaks

"My air conditioning has gone out and needed repairs 3 consecutive years, resulting in zero air conditioning each summer, in other words, the fan blows air that has the same temperature as outside air. (Prior to this issue, where I have had to keep returning the car to the mechanic, I had the A/C condenser replaced in 2019. I switched mechanics for this second string of repairs, but he can't seem to keep the a/c working from one summer to the next either, despite changing out the A/C condenser assembly, doing an A/C evac and recharge with dye (2021), then replacing the compressor o-rings and recharging (2022), and then replacing low side A/C valve (2023). Now, in 2024, it's blowing warm air again."

Anonymous, IL (2007 Honda Accord EX 2.4-L 4 Cyl)

"No air conditioning"

Anonymous, FL (2007 Honda Accord LX 2.4-L 4 Cyl)

"Driverside put out only hot air. Needed to replace condenser."

Anonymous, MO (2007 Honda Accord LX 2.4-L 4 Cyl)

What Owners Say

Other noises & leaks problem

"Experienced screeching noise from front left wheel, as if a piece of metal was stuck between the break pad and the disc. @ years ago I had a friend disassemble the breaks when this happened (since the discs were newly replaced). He didn't notice anything, and the noise went away after reassembling. Now the noise has started back up again, but it depends on the day.
