What Owners Say
"AC compressor was corroded and would not engage, requiring replacement"
Anonymous, CT (2002 Honda Civic DX 1.7-L 4 Cyl)"The AC cooling began to happen only intermittently which is a problem in a heating world. This symptom seemed to baffle the repair guys, who called several times over several days to ask questions. Finally they said they recharged the system and I was set. Assured me it has been sniff tested and there were no leaks. Got it home fine, but the very next time I commuted to work it was apparent they hadn't corrected the issue. Awaited a new appointment and this time they did discover the problem and repaired it- leak? condenser? I don't know because they'd got hacked and didn't have all the details when I got to pay again. This is a 22 year old vehicle, so I suspect this breakdown is merely attributable to age- had never had an AC or heating problem prior to this, and I think the difficulty they had diagnosing it is because they aren't set up to service their older models any longer."

"A/C system has been almost completely ineffective for past several years. Previously I was able to fix the problem by recharging refrigerant, but this is no longer effective."
