    Exhaust

Muffler, pipes, catalytic converter, exhaust manifold, heat shields, leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Muffler

"Muffler failed prematurely and cost $1500 to replace from Honda"

Anonymous, NY (2015 Honda Civic Si 2.4-L 4 Cyl)
    Other/unsure

"Air bag warning light comes on sporadically. It can be off for months or weeks at a time. My mechanic says it shows code for B0001-13, "open or increased resistance in the driver's airbag first inflator." Mechanic said it is an $88 part which requires about $265 in labor to remove and replace. I checked the NHTSA website for 2015 Civics and there are dozens of identical problems REPORTED to the agency. There are probably many more. I question why there isn't a recall for a faulty safety related piece of equipment. In my opinion, this should be Honda's responsibility."

    "Had to replace engine mounts."

Anonymous, CA (2015 Honda Civic LX 1.8-L 4 Cyl)

"It was something to do with the accelerator pedal, and how that affected the computer aspect of the car. Id driven locally to pick up some food - everything was fine - but then, as I started the car to drive home, there was an immediate problem. The car started fine, but the gas pedal wasnt moving the car very much (its a manual transmission 6-speed). Also, a very strange thing - the screen on the dash started rapidly flashing things like CHECK TRMS SYSTEM; CHECK BRAKING SYSTEM, etc. like everything on the car had suddenly stopped working. The parking lot I was in included a number of businesses, including an auto parts store, which offered a free engine check service, which they did - and despite all these problems, that report came back all green - meaning, no engine problems detected. The worked guessed it might be a clutch problem - which Ive definitely encountered on past Hondas - but to me, the clutch pedal had normal resistance. The only option appeared to be, to have the car towed to a repair facility. But this was at about 9:00pm on a Friday night - and despite having towing insurance through my car insurance carrier, no tow truck arrived for 3 and a half hours. Finally, I was able to get the car to drive slowly around the parking lot, and so I decided to try driving home - and the car made it home! The next day, I slowly drove it to a PEP BOYS near my home, and they diagnosed it as previously stated. But this was a Saturday - and they said theyd have to order certain parts, which wouldnt arrive until Tuesday. So, on Tuesday I picked it up, and it seems fine now - but the expense was about $700 - and its not a good time at all for me to incur that kind of expense right now. But I live in Los Angeles, so, I had no choice but to have the work done, and put it all on a credit card."

The leak continued and it was discovered the the problem is from a leak in the AC drain. The problem was repaired and the leak has stopped, but the damage is done. The dealer said that there are no dashboard replacements for this car, so the problems will just have to stay unrepaired."
