    Owner Reported Trouble Spots

The Reliability score is based on our latest subscriber survey of 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid owners. The owner comments describe problems respondents experienced with this vehicle.

    In-car Electronics

Infotainment system (audio, GPS, phone), rear entertainment system, backup or other camera/sensors, head-up display.

    What Owners Say

    Android Auto

"Android Auto refused to connect with my phone. It solved itself when I upgraded my phone. No issues since."

Anonymous, NY (2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid EX 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
    Apple CarPlay

"Apple Car Play is extremely glitchy in this and the other two Hondas (Accord Hybrid and Clarity) we've had. It frequently will not recognize the connected iPhone, whether mine or my wife's. When this happens, it disrupts navigation, often at a critical point, like coming up on an interstate ramp in a congested, confusing urban area. Whether Car Play is simply flaky on its own, or Honda's integration of it is poor, the app is bad enough to make one wonder what Apple is doing with its $Bs in cash. Can they not fix an app? Really?"

    Anonymous A., KY (2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid EX-L 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"Apple CarPlay stops working with my phone periodically if the update doesnt mesh between the two devices. It costs $230 just for the dealership to look at it to see if there is a computer error."

    Noises And Leaks

Squeaks, rattles, wind noises, seals and/or weather stripping, air and water leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Air or water leaks

"The system would not let me avoid checking "air or water leaks", though I had no such problems with this vehicle."

Anonymous, CA (2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid Touring 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
    Squeaks or rattles

"The dashboard area developed some minor, intermittent noises during the first year. The dealer said that is normal and not covered by warranty. Additionally, the cabin is noisy enough at interstate highway speeds that I wear noise-canceling headphones or AirPods on longer drives. I have to speak very loudly for my wife to hear me. She has normal hearing. It was less noise insulated than I liked from the start, but has definitely gotten louder."

    Anonymous A., KY (2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid EX-L 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"After about 1000 miles after purchase a low, but noticable and irritating noise developed under the dash roughly behind the speedometer area. Driving, turning and halting caused it to occur. After a couple of visits, HONDA intensified their investigation and found a loose duct centrally located under the dash. The problem was fixed at no charge for either visit. The car has operated without any problem with mechanical, noise or finish."

Anonymous, CA (2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid Touring 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

Reliability indicates how models have performed in the past, providing the basis for predicting how the vehicles will hold up in the year ahead. These charts provide the most comprehensive reliability information available to consumers. Based on information received from our latest subscriber survey for over 300,000 vehicles, our reliability history charts give you a rundown on how 2000 through 2024 vehicles are holding up in 20 potential trouble spots, ranging from the engine, transmission, electric motor, EV charging, and brakes to power equipment and the electrical accessories. NA indicates that we did not receive a large enough sample size to provide data for a specific year. An X indicates that the vehicle was not manufactured for a specific year.
