    What Owners Say

    Display screen freezes up

"Display froze. Took to dealership and they fixed for free. They said it was not typical."

Anonymous, MA (2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"The infotainment system did not work at all. Despite putting the vehicle in park, turning off the vehicle and restarting it, the infotainment system remained frozen on a still image of the backup camera."

    Anonymous, (2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid EX-L 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"iPhone randomly wont connect using USB interface and when it does connect, the screen glitches. Dealership blamed it on USB cord, but after 3 different cords, they finally acknowledged it was the unit. They said the unit is back ordered, so they couldnt order it at the time. I went back a few months later and they said there was no record of the earlier visit and due to mileage, it is no longer covered. Im sure that is a reflection on dealership more than the vehicle, but there is definitely a problem with either the head unit or the connector in the vehicle."

    Anonymous A., AZ (2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid EX-L 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
    Display screen goes blank

"It just started yesterday evening so I haven't had an opportunity to have it repaired yet."

Anonymous, WV (2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid Touring 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
    Phone pairing (e.g., Bluetooth)

"I think it is related to the excessively complicated control software and its less than logical procedures."

Anonymous, WV (2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid Touring 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

    Brakes

Premature pad/rotor wear, pulsation or vibration, antilock system, parking brake, master cylinder, calipers, squeaking, brake failure, regenerative braking.

    What Owners Say

"bolt dropped out or was missing from right rear brake caliper - replaced bolt once and then replaces entire caliper when it happened again within 30-45 days"

Anonymous, IL (2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid Touring 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
    Regular brake failure

"Driving home one day and the brakes failed as I pulled into my driveway, so I wasn't driving fast at all, luckily. Coasted to my parking spot. The car was at Honda for a month after that."

    Anonymous A., FL (2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid EX 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
    Squeaking

"After first month of ownership, the brakes would squeak while slowly backing out of driveway each morning. I took it in and was told that it is caused by the dew that accumulates on the rotors at night and it doesnt happen once it gets warmer. The only way to avoid this is to park in a garage."

    Anonymous A., AZ (2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid EX-L 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

    Exhaust

Muffler, pipes, catalytic converter, exhaust manifold, heat shields, leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Other/unsure

"No spare tire in hybrid CRVs. Was not aware until had a flat tire, therefore had to purchase a new tire and need to be towed to a Honda dealer. Need to figure out how to include this option in hybrid models!"

    Anonymous, FL (2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid EX-L 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

"The battery(not hybrid battery)that came with the car died twice (2023 and 2024). It was replaced no charge. Also, the tires only had a 26000 life span. We just bought new tires that last more than twice that."

    Anonymous, SC (2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid EX-L 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

    EV Battery

    What Owners Say

    Other electric/hybrid battery problem

    "Battery cable was recalled"

    Anonymous, IL (2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid EX-L 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

    Climate System

AC compressor, blower (fan) motor, condenser, evaporator, heater system, automatic climate system, electrical failure, refrigerant leakage.

    What Owners Say

    Blower (fan) motor

"The blower motor fan failed at about 18,000 miles. It had to be replaced. It took a week for the dealership to receive and install a replacement from Honda."

Anonymous, VA (2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid Touring 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)
    Other climate system problem

"The CRV seems to be unable to adequately cool the car cabin temperature, even with the AC temperature set to minimum. Front seat occupants feel the temperature is barely acceptable. Rear seat passengers feel too warm. The Honda dealership has looked at the car and concluded the system is operating within specification. I was told that it is considered within spec if the air temperature at the vent is 20 degrees less than the temperature under the hood. This seems unacceptable -ignoring temperature rise due to the engine itself, a CRV in a 110 degree desert would be deemed within spec if the air in the car at the vent is 90 degrees. This would be unacceptable."

Anonymous, VA (2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid Touring 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

    Body Hardware

Windows, locks and latches, doors or sliding doors, tailgate, trunk or hatch, mirrors, seat controls (power or manual), seat belts, sunroof, convertible top, glass defect.

Anonymous, (2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid EX 2.0-L 4 Cyl hybrid)

    Drive System

Driveshaft or axle, CV joint, differential, transfer case, four-wheel-drive/all-wheel-drive components, driveline vibration, electrical failure, traction control, electronic stability control.

    What Owners Say
