    In-car Electronics

Infotainment system (audio, GPS, phone), rear entertainment system, backup or other camera/sensors, head-up display.

    What Owners Say

    Apple CarPlay

"My car suddenly stopped displaying the map on my Apple phone while I was driving in an unfamiliar area that required many turns on rural roads. I called my dealership and the Honda 800 number, found no help. I googled the problem and finally found a suggestion that worked but the problem suddenly occurred again several times. I took the car to my Honda dealer when I got home and they said it was an Apple problem, not a Honda problem. It still recurs from time to time. I have to stop the car, turn off the sound system, turn off my phone, reboot everything, go through a series of steps that takes ten minutes, and sometimes it works again until it stops again. This can be dangerous at night or in city traffic navigating expressways. I am usually traveling alone and am a 77 year old female so this is unnerving. While my phone GPS is reliable it is dangerous having to hold and look at my small phone screen while driving."

    Anonymous, FL (2020 Honda CR-V EX-L 1.5-L 4 Cyl turbo)

"Often doesn't work and a solution sometimes is to restart the car, other times to begin playing the book, podcast or music directly from the phone before starting the car"

    Anonymous A., WI (2020 Honda CR-V EX-L 1.5-L 4 Cyl turbo)

"Intermittently the car play connection cuts off, the head unit no longer indicates it is connected to the iPhone. Unplugging the iPhone and replugging it doesn't not fix it, and switching cables doesn't fix it. Sometimes turning the car off and on fixes it."

    Anonymous, NY (2020 Honda CR-V EX-L 1.5-L 4 Cyl turbo)

"Same as previous comment. I am unable to pair my phone with apple CarPlay even though it paired easily before."

    Anonymous, NH (2020 Honda CR-V EX-L 1.5-L 4 Cyl turbo)
    Display screen goes blank

"Early periodic blank screen. Dealer technician seems to have fixed the problem. No issue in past twelve mos."

    Anonymous A., AR (2020 Honda CR-V EX 1.5-L 4 Cyl turbo)

"Head unit display intermittently goes black, audio still plays, but you cannot control it. Turning the car off and on again usually corrects it. Dealer couldn't reproduce it so they did nothing about it."

    Anonymous, NY (2020 Honda CR-V EX-L 1.5-L 4 Cyl turbo)
    Phone pairing (e.g., Bluetooth)

"This is related to the problem with Apple Carplay which I previously described. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't."

    Anonymous, FL (2020 Honda CR-V EX-L 1.5-L 4 Cyl turbo)

"It started about 3 months ago . My phone is not recognized by the car even though it used to be. I use it mostly to listen to audiobooks while I am driving. I am unable to Pair the phone with the car system myself again, even tho I did it before. Very frustrating!"

    Anonymous, NH (2020 Honda CR-V EX-L 1.5-L 4 Cyl turbo)

    Climate System

AC compressor, blower (fan) motor, condenser, evaporator, heater system, automatic climate system, electrical failure, refrigerant leakage.

    What Owners Say

    A/C compressor

"It was a simple issue that was not solved by originating dealer. First dealer addressed issue with Freon. However, it was a coil issue, fixed by another dealer."

    Anonymous A., VA (2020 Honda CR-V EX 1.5-L 4 Cyl turbo)

"At 54719 we had the car serviced. AC wasn't working up to snuff. They discovered the AC compressor seal had gone bad. It was fixed at no charge."

    Anonymous, VA (2020 Honda CR-V EX-L 1.5-L 4 Cyl turbo)
    Automatic climate control

"The system did not work when my wife moved the driver seat to her (number 1) position but worked fine in the number 2 position. The dealer service staff could not find any problems but when I got back in the car and tried it,all worked perfectly. There have been no issues since."

    Anonymous A., CA (2020 Honda CR-V Touring 1.5-L 4 Cyl turbo)
    Refrigerant leaks

"AC is currently not working. Blows hot air. Have appointment in 2 weeks to diagnose and hopefully repair AC. Appears Honda has issued service bulletin and extended warranty on compressor shaft seal only. Therefore, owner will be responsible for other needed parts, such as discharge hose, etc., resulting in hundreds of dollars in repairs. Honda obviously knows this is a prevalent problem and should pay for total cost of repairs. AC should not stop working on a 4 year old vehicle with only 45000 miles."

Anonymous, MA (2020 Honda CR-V EX 1.5-L 4 Cyl turbo)

"It started about 3 weeks ago. I have to take it back on the 14th of August for them to make sure its just a leak and not something more serious"

Anonymous, AR (2020 Honda CR-V EX 1.5-L 4 Cyl turbo)

    Body Hardware

Windows, locks and latches, doors or sliding doors, tailgate, trunk or hatch, mirrors, seat controls (power or manual), seat belts, sunroof, convertible top, glass defect.

    What Owners Say

    Other body problem

"Alternator failed and it took 14 days to fix problem"

    Anonymous A., NY (2020 Honda CR-V Touring 1.5-L 4 Cyl turbo)

"Dealer pointed out moisture inside the headlight assembly, sealed had failed, repaired under warranty"

    Anonymous A., OH (2020 Honda CR-V 1.5-L 4 Cyl turbo)

"Hood is coming loose, moves when driving. Happens every time I drive it. Trying to get it resolved now. Asking Honda to pay for it, since it is not a recall on my model, but it's same design flaw as other models that are recalled."

Anonymous, SC (2020 Honda CR-V Touring 1.5-L 4 Cyl turbo)
    Seat controls - power

    "Power switch stopped working"

    Anonymous A., NY (2020 Honda CR-V Touring 1.5-L 4 Cyl turbo)

"Poor grade of tires, wear out low mileage"

Anonymous, ON (2020 Honda CR-V Touring Unsure)

"It is a design feature that turns the engine off when the car is idling. In my estimation, this feature is dangerous and inconvenient. The feature can only be disabled manually each time the car is started. There is no way to disable it entirely."

    Anonymous, KY (2020 Honda CR-V EX-L 1.5-L 4 Cyl turbo)

    Drive System

Driveshaft or axle, CV joint, differential, transfer case, four-wheel-drive/all-wheel-drive components, driveline vibration, electrical failure, traction control, electronic stability control.

Anonymous, AK (2020 Honda CR-V Touring 1.5-L 4 Cyl turbo)
    Other driveline problem

"The trouble message on my dashboard stated that the AWD system was malfunctioning. The trouble message would cancel every time you shut the car off. It did not reappear when the car was restarted and would not reappear for weeks at a time.I brought it to the dealership for my normal service and at that time I mentioned the problem to the service technician. He said that he didn't see it on the computer check of the car's system. He told me to come back when it appeared again. It was 3 months before I saw this message again and it cleared before I could take it to the service center. I called the dealership about this and was advised to get it checked out when it happened again and the message stayed in the system. This didn't happen again for at least 4 months and at that time it stayed on. I then made a appointment for service and brought the car in to have it looked at. I was told that the pump in the AWD system was malfunctioning and needed to be replaced. I had the work done and it hasn't been a problem since"

    Anonymous, PA (2020 Honda CR-V EX-L 1.5-L 4 Cyl turbo)

    Noises And Leaks

Squeaks, rattles, wind noises, seals and/or weather stripping, air and water leaks.

    What Owners Say

    Air or water leaks

"Unknown to us, there's some way of way of pushing buttons on the remote fob that opens the sun/moon roof. We would occasionally hear air rushing in and notice the roof was opene a crack. So we'd close it. We must have accidentally hit the button(s) in such a way to start the roof opening. One time when we did not know the roof was open a crack, rain leaked into the car leading to a dashboard warning of a major electrical system malfunction. It said not to drive the car, but my wife drove to the dealer immediately. Carpet on the passenger side was wet. The dealer determined there was no actual electrical damage. They dried out the carpeting and that was it."

    Anonymous A., MD (2020 Honda CR-V EX-L 1.5-L 4 Cyl turbo)
    Seals and/or weather-stripping

"The door seal had come loose - glue gave out or the gasket had been torn away from the door thru use. The car was serviced at 58403, and repaired at no charge."

    Anonymous, VA (2020 Honda CR-V EX-L 1.5-L 4 Cyl turbo)
