What Owners Say
"Whet I got to 8000 miles on the odometer the center console, where radio, climate controls, car play etc are displayed, has gone blank twice, and I have zero control over those functions. I didnt notify the dealer because theyd have to reproduce it and I doubt they could get it to happen. Now Im wondering what electronics function is going to fail next."
Anonymous A., PA (2022 Honda CR-V EX-L 1.5-L 4 Cyl turbo)"The radio display randomly goes blank."

Anonymous, NS (2022 Honda CR-V Touring 1.5-L 4 Cyl turbo)"This Honda does not pair with my Samsung S22. The screen says "Smartphone is not compatible". I got both the same month. Guy at Honda amservice has the same problem with his cell phone so it's a Honda and not a Verizon or Samsung issue. He said Honda hasn't updated its software to make it work/pair. I can only place a call if I plug the phone in and use Android Auto."

"I initially assumed that CarPlay would be a wireless connection , which it is not - have to have a wired controller for it to work over the screen- but that was my fault. It was very difficult to figure out how to use speech recognition for Siri, but I eventually did figure it out, after about 2 months. Recently I had to replace my phone due to damage. It was backed on the cloud. I cannot remember who I got speech recognition to work. I can use Siri by holding down on the button on the steering wheel. I have followed all car screen and car play directions to no avail. I think I ended up using information from an online navigation guide which I downloaded at the time but I guess I didnt save it. Regarding the navigator system in general it was not real user friendly which I think was mentioned in your reviews. I called the dealer /salesperson whom I purchased from in Las Vegas, NV and he didnt have a clue how to set it up. I like the car a lot otherwise excellent for its size. I traded in my 2013 CRV and this one is much bigg, which is great if you want a bigger car which I did not. The only reason I bought a new car and traded my old one in is that I knew that I was moving to Charlotte, NC in a few weeks and I wasnt sure if my older car would be trustworthy for a cross country trip (have an older dog who is too big to fly in the cabin and Ive heard horror stories about shippers gos so I wasnt going to do that). Plus I wanted to take advantage of the new safety features of a new car. This was during COVID when there were little or no cars in the lots. I had contacted Subaru and they had virtually nothing. The 2 Honda dealers had some cars that we were able to test drive and eventually decided to go with the 2022 CRV Touring. The color and model we wanted was on the lot but was just sold that day. But they told me the had the exact same color/model arriving soon. By the time it arrived it was about 3 weeks away free my move - my house had been sold and movers arranged so I felt that I was stuck. They tacked on $4,000 to the sticker price and told me the only way I could get financing at a reasonable rate through Honda is if I bought a couple of maintenance packages that I didnt want but got anyway. This actually was an out and out lie provided by the finance officer as I did get a good rate for financing , 3.7%, but it wasnt through Honda Finance, which is what is said in the contract. Oh well, they gave me$22,000 for 2 trade ins - the 2013 CRV and a 2008 Honda Element, which was decent. If I had to do it over I would have shipped my 2 old cars and rented a car for the cross country drive. But that didnt occur to at the time. I will sell this car and buy something when there is something available that is just as nice but smaller. Im considering a hybrid Toyota cross currently, but may just wait."
