    First Take
The Crosstour raised hatchback is derived from the Accord sedan, but offers optional all-wheel drive. We like the high seating position; wide, spacious cabin; and comfortable seats, as well as the smooth, responsive 3.5-liter V6 engine. A 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine is available on two-wheel-drive versions. The dashboard gauges and controls are convenient and well designed. There are some compromises that blunt our enthusiasm. When pushed hard the Crosstour feels bulky and handles clumsily. The coupe-like styling blocks the rear view and diminishes cargo volume. The turning circle is surprisingly wide.
