What Owners Say
"Significant water leaks from rain and/or puddles"
Anonymous, FL (2008 Honda Fit Base 1.5-L 4 Cyl)""The car has leaked during hard rains since we have got it. It is, we have later found, a not uncommon fault with early Fit models. We have been able to make it better but it still leaks. Otherwise a really great little car.""
Anonymous A., MD (2008 Honda Fit Base 1.5-L 4 Cyl)"The seam sealer between body panels has cracked over time and is allowing rainwater in through the roof rain gutter which then runs down and fills up the spare-tire wheel well. I've seen many YouTube videos with people who have had similar experiences with a number of different Hondas including but not limited to Fit and Civic and a number of different model years. My neighbor also has a 2008 Honda Fit with exactly the same issue. I have made one attempt myself to fix by filling the cracks with silicon liquid sealer which worked for a while. However, new cracks have opened up and I will need to attempt another fix."
Anonymous, GA (2008 Honda Fit Sport 1.5-L 4 Cyl)"Water was leaking into the wheel well in the trunk. Our mechanic found and sealed horizontal welds that can be seen when the rear hatch is open - they are at both side columns near the hatch gasket. Now there is minimal leak."

""Water leaking into the rear around the top of the hatchback and making its way into the spare tire well, creating a puddle. Could not resolve but was stopped by parking the vehicle on an angle.""
